Peaceful and relaxing stay. Amazing customer service and the pool villa was fantastic!

The pool villa was amazing. The staff provided wonderful customer service and the beach was beautiful!

What was the highlight of Centara Villas Samui

Private pool at the middle of nowhere

Big separate private pool. Breakfasts are classy, but sometimes too spicy. Romantic dinner at the beach (paid) is a bargain and made perfect. Free kayak and SUP. Different attractions almost every evening (paid). Lots of green trees, bushes and so on - like living in a forest.

Hotel is located in the middle of nowhere, so to get to walking streets you need to take paid shuttles (around 5 times a day), taxi, or rent a bike/car. Otherwise, stay at the hotel or walk for around an hour. Shallow water and dirty ocean floor, lots of rocks, you can swim almost only in the pools (July 2023). Everything is shabby. Bungalow itself looks cheap: wobbly door, ripped curtains, terrible shower wrongly made, that’s why after every shower you flood all the bathroom floor. But I liked roof windows in the bathroom. A lot of stairs due to hill location. Lots of fauna in the evening: lizards, snails, frogs, mosquitoes etc. We were expecting more from Centara chain, but if you are coming here despite it all - book high category of the room.

Very Good

Beautiful pools. When it's high tide it's lovely to sit on the beach. Good breakfast. If you want a view book the sea view rooms. Clean rooms. They have sea kayaks and paddle boards. Friendly staff. They do recycling. We had an enjoyable stay. The layout and the gardens are beautiful. Well-kept gardens.

Garden rooms don't have a view of the garden. It's a bit like being in a box, you must keep all the blinds down as it's designed in such a way that there is no privacy on any side. Sea view rooms are the only rooms with a view. They add 17% to the menu prices and charge vat on the 10% service fee. It's the only restaurant to use, no other restaurants are within walking distance. Far away from Lamai Beach, a 15-minute commute. They have daily shuttles, provided there are four people that book otherwise you need to pay for four people. Rocky Beach unfortunately.

Nice but not exceptional.

The location is very pretty with all the villas it feels like a small village. Also the staff is friendly and tries their best. The tours they offer are incredibly well organized and just worth every penny. Breakfast has a lot of options!

English is sometimes not sufficient for the price and makes communication quite tiring. The shuttle only takes you to Lamai if the minimum for 4 people is paid, which makes it hard or expensive for solo travelers. The beach is okay. But a lit of dogs jumping around and directly next to it there’s an area with ruins and quite a lit of dirt. Didn’t really like the beach, as also sunbeds are not very comfy. Not sure if the stay justifies the money entirely.

Beautiful and quiet. very pretty

Thé resort is beautifully located on a private beach. There are 3 pools and lots of things to do. The testy had many food options and is very yummy, breakfast is good too and has homemade jams that are fabulous ! The beds are comfortable and the entire place is very clean and quiet. The spa is great! I had 2 massage while there and both were wonderful ! The resort is away from the main area of Lamai so we rented a motor bike and loved driving around together. overall great place to stay !

I can recommend the resort as it is very pretty but be prepared to use the shuttle service

The villa was lovely. We had a perfect location close to the pools, beach and restaurant.

The resort location is remote and it was necessary to take a shuttle bus to visit the local towns. There is no on site shop so it became necessary to travel by bus even to stock up on water.

Too many steps, they need to install a lift or some other electronic device

The beach front location was excellent, the variety of food for breakfast was great, the 3 pools were great although we only swam in one of them. The staff are brilliant, very friendly & helpful.

The steps up & down to the room & facilities were a huge problem. If you have a problem with mobility this is not the place for you. we had 103 steps from the room to the eating area.

location and villas were nice

with the exception of one of the front office staff who was great. the other receptionists were unhappy , not helpful and looked like they hated their jobs. valets and porters and cleaning staff were great.

Very good place for relaxing.

Very friendly staff. The location is very quiet and good for relaxing. It's far away from the famous places. Good to have a car or motobike. But they offer transfer and shuttleservice. We liked it a lot. The only thing what they have to make better is the gym and the cleanliness of the beach towels.

A beautiful hotel but off the beaten track with only a very small hamlet nearby. Great if you want to escape but you had to rely on taxis to get to bars and other restaurants.

The tide was out most of the day which meant that snorkelling was limited and we could not go canoeing.

This was our second stay at Centara Villas Samui, but it won't be the last.

The staff were incredible, always on hand when required, but at the same time allowing you to enjoy the quiet space without intrusion. The communal areas (pool, bar, restaurant) were always neat and tidy and, although there were many guests, it never felt crowded. We had a private pool villa which was exceptional. There are lots of stairs within the resort, but these were a great way to work off the buffet breakfast!

Great hotel, but poor beach

The room is big and clean, the staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfasts are good, some evenings they have a special program like live music or fire show

It was impossible to swim in the ocean - shallow water, not clean, and a lot of urchins in June. it’s not a problem of hotel of course, but we had to drive to another beach to swim there

What was the highlight of Centara Villas Samui

Stunning place, with gorgeous views.

The place is absolutely stunning. The most peaceful, unpretentious yet comfortable resort I have ever stayed at. Gorgeous views, 3 pools to choose from, stunning beach area, with plenty of sun beds. Never a struggle to find a sun bed, wether at the beach or any of the pools. The food at the bar, both a la carte and buffets was delicious. The breakfast buffet was good too. In regards to the staff, I’d like to mention VIEW from reception. Nothing was too much trouble.

There were a couple of minor things, when we first got there, we asked for a spare key to the room, as I was traveling with my mother, and to be honest I think that’s quite a reasonable request. They took our room key for a few hours and got back to us with the wrong key. The next day, we gave our key again, waited for about 6/7 hours for a new one that never came. No one followed up on it. The location is far from everything, shuttle bus to Lamai costs 50 baht one way, and 100 baht one way to Chaweng. We loved the location because we wanted to relax in a peaceful environment, however if you’re planning to go out often I’d recommend hiring a car.

Beautiful Villa, beautiful beach, very quiet area of the Resort.

Complicated arranged Villas, difficult to find the right ways. More proper signs are needed to guide the way. And you need to go a lot of steps from the beach to the lobby and Villas. In the Bathroom the Handshower was not working. The air conditioner was very loud.

Beautiful spot, great place for a relaxing holiday.

Great location, beautiful views, staff always cheerful and very polite. Lovely pools and always sunbeds available on the beach! There’s a couple of good restaurants and a nice beach bar nearby.

Our only complaint would be that the room needed updating as although the bed was huge and comfy the air con was really noisy which meant we couldn’t sleep with it on at night so it got a bit warm. Also, the bathroom was a bit scruffy round the edges but we loved the location so much we didn’t complain. I believe some rooms have been updated but I don’t think ours had recently. Restaurant prices are over the top for average food.

Great beachside resort with the friendliest of staff.

Hats off to the management of this resort. A place very well maintained, manicured and managed. Friendliest of staff, there to attend to your every need. Very friendly. Great beach right in front, if you do not like any of the 3 pools. Great bar, very good restaurant. The front staff will arrange any and all trips for you. Local shuttle to next towns and Family Mart. Very quiet. Very nicely appointed rooms. Very romantic Valentine's arrangement. Daily activities.

Lovely villa with private pool, beach is really nice, great breakfast, drinks are reasonable in price, better still at happy hour, 3 very nice pools, towels provided, didn't eat there at night walked to cool bar next to the beach by turning left, the hotel and staff are amazing, worth a visit

The hotel is quite isolated so not much to do if you don't have transport, there is a hotel shuttle to Chaweng or Lamai at a charge,

The staff are very friendly and the rooms are lovely and private.

There are a lot of steps in the premises, so for anyone with disability it’s not recommended. We were told to be careful when swimming in the sea as the beach was quite rocky and there are sea urchins and jelly fish. It’s also quite far away from the rest of the island attraction, so there’s a lot of driving required, which can be quite isolated unless you have a car.
